Shelina Janmohamed’s new book, Generation M: Young Muslims changing the world, which looks at a growing segment of a new generation of Muslims who are hip, entrepreneurial and influential. This hyper-diverse, multi-national and multicultural demographic are young people whose faith still plays an important role in informing their consumer choices and their creativity.
Hundreds of people enjoyed an afternoon to remember when talented young writers were celebrated at the Young Muslim Writers Awards 2015. The event was organised and presented by charity Muslim Hands in association with the Yusuf Islam Foundation, on Saturday 5th December in London.
‘Engage’ was set up with the specific aim of working and engaging with young people who have either been radicalised, or are at risk of radicalisation. Engage primarily focuses its work on two aspects: firstly to work directly with young people who are at risk of radicalisation who have been referred to the programme from a variety of sources such as parents, mosques and friends.
